May 18, 2020:    We want to update you on our plans for the 2020 Susan G. Komen 3-Day® series. After much thoughtful consideration, we are sad to share that we must postpone all four 2020 Susan G. Komen 3-Day® events until 2021. The safety and wellbeing of our 3-Day community is  our top concern. As such, we have closely followed evolving guidance and  updates from state officials and medical experts about safety in the  face of the COVID-19 pandemic. At this point, it is unclear when  large-scale events like the Komen 3-Day will be safe to hold. Due to the  unique nature of the 3-Day, including the travel required by many of  our community and our multi-day format, what is clear is that we cannot  hold these events this year.

While we look to next year, breast cancer doesn’t stop just because of  COVID-19. We need you now more than ever as we work to help those most  at risk during this challenging time.

We  are happy to report that we’ve also been working hard to lock in dates  for the 2021 3-Day series. So please save these dates as you transfer  your registration to next year!

New England, August 20-22, 2021 ● Chicago, October 1-3, 2021
Dallas/Fort Worth, November 5-7, 2021 ● San Diego, November 19-21, 2021

We raise our shoes to honor our survivors.

Your Susan G. Komen 3‑Day® starts the moment you make the commitment. Your 3‑Day coaches will support you as you train and fundraise. Our amazing community of walkers, crew, and volunteers will welcome you as you get ready to spend three magical days together on a journey to end breast cancer forever.

The first day begins with an emotional Opening Ceremony where the adrenaline and anticipation of taking on 60 miles is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. The feelings of pride and strength you’ll realize while walking 60 miles through San Diego’s cool surfside neighborhoods are only matched by the spirit and gratitude of the communities you encounter and those you are helping along the way. You’ll walk along the Pacific Coast Highway and will be wowed by the beauty of Del Mar, Torrey Pines and Mission Bay!

You’ll spend two nights in our outdoor camp, in the embrace of the dedicated 3-Day community, sharing meals, stories and making new friends. It all culminates in a Closing Ceremony celebrating everything you accomplished, remembering those we have lost, and honoring those who are in the fight of their lives.

The Susan G. Komen 3‑Day is an experience you’ll never forget. It’s why our walkers come back year after year to recommit their time and energy to put an end to breast cancer once and for all.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

In  1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would  do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that  promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the  beginning of a global movement. What was started with $200 and a shoebox  full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest  nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer.

Susan G. Komen® has transformed how the world treats and  talks about this disease and have mobilized the largest and most  passionate community. Since 1982, we've funded more than $988M in  research, more than $2.2 billion in education, screening and treatment,  serving millions in over 60 countries worldwide. The funds raised by  passionate 3-Day® supporters and participants is used to  invest in cutting-edge research that will lead to new, more effective  treatments, working in communities across the country to ensure all  people can access the care they need, and mobilizing passionate  supporters to make certain the voice of the breast cancer community is  heard by policymakers.
